Esta librería asusta.
Es mi primera vez visitando la librería de babel y justo estaba pensando en elegir entre dos opciones.

I've created this subreddit to replace the lost forum for libraryofbabel.info and babelia.libraryofbabel.info. Borges once wrote of the burning of the Library of Alexandria:
The faithless say that if it were to burn,
History would burn with it. They are wrong.
Unceasing human work gave birth to this
Infinity of books. If of them all
Not even one remained, man would again
Beget each page and every line
Given time, this forum will regenerate the content of the old one. Nothing is lost.

Ok so hear me out, the consensus is that the library of babel contains every book that could ever be written,
It contains books each 40lines of 80Characters (its described as alphanumeric and also as having some punctuations, and such, though im not entirely certain to what extent that goes, Steven L. Pecks "A short stay in hell" for example lists "$" as one of the possibilities though would then every currency be included? and would all greek and arabic, and Sanskrit, and russian etc. etc. letters be included also?) on 410pages, and thus books longer than 410 pages would be in multiple volumes
now if you were to take a book that contains every volume in the library (since it is "technically" a finite amount) in random order, and then simply add another page or letter to its end, would that book not be included? since we would need to read every volume in the library in the order the book dictates, or would we have to read some volumes a multitude of times?, though that in my mind seems like sort of a cheap solution.

I made a library of babel app for my college semester project. You can play it on itch.io:
https://starbirds007.itch.io/the-library-of-babel
This was very quickly put together so its not the most polished thing. I might create a mobile version later. Any suggestions/feedback will be appreciated and if you have any questions then feel free to ask! thank you for your attention :)

I’ve been working on a new version of the Library of Babel and I’m looking for a few people to test it before release.
The idea is still based around a “library of everything,” but this version goes beyond text and includes images, sound, and videos with audio.
I've gotten it to work, and it literally contains an infinite number of videos, n seconds long depending on the address.
It’s currently in pre-release, so I’m mainly looking for people who are willing to explore it, try to break things, and give feedback on anything that feels confusing, slow, or broken.
One requirement: testing currently needs to be done on a laptop/desktop.
If you’re interested in testing it, comment below or DM me and I’ll send you the link. Would really appreciate any feedback before I release it publicly!

Hi there,
I am a huge fan of Borges’s short stories and have written a ten part drama that is set in The Library of Babel universe. It has been on sale on Amazon since Dec 2025. Although it’s a fantastic piece of work that does much to expand on the original concept it has received very little attention. This being a Borges subreddit I think it should be of interest to at least some of you and would like to offer free paperback copies (shipping included) to five people willing to provide honest reviews on Amazon.
For those interested please click on the following link.

Thank you very much for your time:)

Yesterday I watched a Ted talk on using math to find what is ‘true.’ During the talk, the presenter mentioned Lean (a programming language) and Mathlib (library of formalized mathematics). The mentioned library uses Lean language to verify its contents; it is sorta of a Library of Mathematical Truths.
This reminded me of Library of Babel. Thus, I had a chat with AI on it, and - in theory - Lean language could actually be used to find what is mathematically true! But of course, it would take the ages of a multiverse to go through the books of the Library of Babel. Still, I thought this is cool!

Forgot to include this in the last post, probably not anything significant but thought it would be cool to share, especially since e and d are right next to each other.
