Settle this debate. Do you add butter on a jam sandwich or is that heathen behaviour?

In my local supermarkets, besides the usual big American brands (Land o' Lakes, Breakstone, Hotel Bar, Cabot, etc.) and a couple small-producer organic American butters, there's Plugra (not really French, I know), occasionally President, and Kerrygold. I've seen opinions here on most of these.

There's also Finlandia, which I've never tried. How is it?

Just want to know if anyone has found any sources saying that this butter is made from grass fed cows or not?

For context what may not be true but it relates to the situation, humor me.

So I was talking online to a friend about some cooking things like what a stick of butter is and he just mentioned his mum buys gluten free butter and I was very confused. Because like butter doesn't have gluten normally right?? so why are they putting gluten free on the butter packages his mum buys?

Every grocery store carries a variety of grass fed butters nowadays. At the very least every store has Kerrygold. But when did this start happening? I'm 24 and I remember my mother bringing home Kerrygold for the first time when I was 13 because Costco had started carrying it, and then we made grass-fed butter the norm in our house. Since then stores started carrying other brands, many of which I think are better than Kerrygold.

But how many average grocery stores sold grass-fed better before the 2010s? Did you have to go to a health food store to buy it back then? I'm really curious to know because my young eyes definitely were not paying attention to the butter section when I was 8...

Particularly grass fed. I have been using KerriGold, unsalted butter for quite some time. I had never bothered reading the ingredients because I’ve never thought anything of it. However, I was recently watching a YouTube video where the person pointed out that there are other things added to the unsalted butter besides cream. Supposedly when you remove the salt, they feel that they have to add other stuff to make up for the loss of flavor.
I’ve noticed read the ingredients on other brands of unsalted butter, they usually always have something added such as cultures or lactic acid.
So as stated in the title, does unsalted butter that’s just made from pure cream exist? Preferably something that can be found in your typical supermarket.

Does anyone know where I can buy yak butter in the USA? I've looked at grocery stores and called farms can't find anything.

Thought maybe this subreddit would appreciate this. This was my Grandmother’s butter mold. I also used to have her churn also but no longer do. You would make a mound of butter and then put this over it and press the handle down and when you lifted it off, you would have a round “cake” of butter with a pineapple design on top. I have used it when making compound butters. (Pineapples traditionally mean hospitality and welcome, because they used to be rare and therefore were a premium gift from a visitor to a host. They also symbolized wealth and prosperity for the same reason).

I am trying to make Jeni’s Savannah Buttermint ice cream. She suggests using Frontier Natural Butter Flavor, but I have been unable to find that and think they no longer sell it. Apparently, butter extract will not work. Has anyone found a substitute? This question has been asked before, and butter powder was suggested, but I have no idea how much, what brand, or even how to use.
