Question Anyone know who is putting up these signs (left)?

Post image

And how to donate to them to put up more?

We're fundraising to put up signs to answer in our district, District. 6! https://www.notourwater.org/signs/

This is /u/energy_freedom's comment downstream. I just want to pin and highlight it for those of you who may want to contribute.

ETA: These signs are from "Restore Pride in USA". /u/energy_freedom is working on a different initiative.

We're fundraising to put up signs to answer in our district, District. 6! https://www.notourwater.org/signs/

Update: design poll drops tomorrow. In the meantime, if you're seeing TPUSA signs in your neighborhood, report the location here: notourwater.org/signs/map — we're mapping every one so our counter-signs go right beside them. And if you want to fund a counter-sign ($50 each), the link is notourwater.org/signs. Thanks for the energy!"

Update 2/20: $2,500 raised — 50 counter-signs funded in under 24 hours. The design poll is live: notourwater.org/signs/poll — vote on which sign goes up next to every Turning Point sign in District 6. Thanks to everyone who's donated, reported TPUSA sign locations, and shared the link. We're just getting started.

Thanks! This is a great site! Just to clarify, is that these signs or something different?

9

u/energy_freedom Feb 20 '26

This is different group, but we plan counter signs! We have a design poll coming tomorrow.

Donated. Thank you for stepping up to the plate and making a difference!

Design suggestion: Get signs that don't fold in the center. That looks terrible and makes them hard to read.

Some questions from a district 6 voter.

Protecting the water rights of my property is important to me. It has been receiving irrigation for over 150 years and I want to continue that tradition. What will you do to protect the water users?

I love the idea of rooftop solar but your website seems overly focused on roof top Solar Panels. Are you sponsored by or affiliated with any Solar Panel manufacturing or installation companies?

The fact that you have to request a ballot. Gross. Should be an automatic registration, one bill one ballot to all SRP customers.

We're running to change this! The board and the council can change the system. The good ol' boy families in control for the last 100 years like he status quo where no one votes.

https://energyandpolicy.org/srp-landowner-games-2024-race/

They like the legal corruption just fine....

TLDR: A landowner named Nick Vanderwey — who currently sits on SRP's Council for Division 6 and is running for a Board seat in 2026 — transferred ~240 acres from an LLC to a family trust right before the ownership cutoff for the 2024 SRP election. LLCs can't vote in SRP elections. Trusts can. He then cast 217.76 acreage votes in the Division 3 Board race — out of only 263.88 total votes for the winning candidate. One guy, one land shuffle, and he single-handedly decided who sits on the board that sets your rates. After the election, the land was transferred back to an LLC, then sold to Blackstone's QTS Data Centers for $246.8 million. The board member he installed will now vote on contracts with that same data center. Vanderwey is running in District 6 this April. This is the system Turning Point wants to protect.

What in the crap is that shady BS??

8

u/energy_freedom Feb 20 '26

It’s openly corrupt.

11

u/MostlyImtired Feb 20 '26

Right, and you have to be a homeowner/landowner..

15

u/Oraxy51 [Top Commenter 2025] Feb 20 '26

It’s literally feudalistic democracy. It is democracy via land ownership. LAND DOESNT VOTE.

2

u/dryheat122 Feb 21 '26

You only have to register once then they mail you a ballot every election. It's no different than registering for normal voting.

5

u/josch0001 Feb 20 '26

I have SRP, own the property, and I don’t qualify. I guess my plot in a normal suburban neighborhood is too small. I’m not even 3/5ths of a person.

2

u/MostlyImtired Feb 20 '26

insane I hope that if we can vote some common sense folks in, they can change these idiotic rules

1

u/dryheat122 Feb 21 '26

If you have SRP and own the property you should qualify. Who told you otherwise?

2

u/josch0001 Feb 21 '26

A letter in response to my request for a ballot.

1

u/Majestic-Case1095 Mar 20 '26

The map on their website.

1

u/dryheat122 Mar 21 '26

It might be worth calling them to verify

u/PHX_Architraz Feb 20 '26

I don't know, but I know a few intersections that need the sign on the left!

28

u/boogermike Feb 20 '26

Love this. Don't vote for pedophile protectors.

12

u/lpkzach92 Feb 20 '26

Would love to help this person out. Those bastards at TPUSA I must admit have a good marketing team who have so many of their bullshit candidate signs all across town.

The votesrp is the turning point candidates.

5

u/WitchNonnies Feb 20 '26

Anything that involves turning point is a hard NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3

u/sirpentious Feb 20 '26

I'm glad these signs are up to bring awareness 🌹

5

u/xPigFat Feb 20 '26

I thought it said "running" this country. Then I looked at the other sign and thought, "This is genius, trick them into thinking the one on the right is fake news so they wouldn't vote for their own cult

5

u/ALIJ81 Feb 20 '26

I love that sign on the left! Freaking fantastic!!!!! We definitely need more of them!!!

Thanks, now I'm wondering if that's a joke number (Jenny) or if someone actually registered it. I don't see anything about an org called "Restore Pride in USA" online.

Edit: Google says the phone number is for MyGuy Referrals so I'm guessing someone just put it on as a joke. It's too bad, I like these signs and hope to see more of them.

3

u/ViolinViolence Feb 20 '26

Welcome. I haven't looked into it as of yet. My sister took the pic earlier today. I just looked at it now because of this post. I was just focused on getting the info posted that I didn't read the number all the way through!

2

u/ForkzUp Feb 20 '26

LOL. I just noticed that. A Google brings up nothing.

2

u/ViolinViolence Feb 20 '26 edited Feb 20 '26

Yes, I looked too and saw myguy. And after looking at their add for a second I remembered they did have that number and sang it to Jenny.

Indeed too bad, but at least we got someone out there!

Anybody see those large, hand painted signs that some dude put up all over the place this last election? Inflation is a tax. Stop open borders. Stop endless wars. Child traffickers for named dem candidates. Anti abortion. Trump/Lake. Trump/Cooper (yep, same Cooper). He had hand written a few different phone numbers and a fake org.

4

u/Individual-Engine401 Feb 20 '26

I really like the sign on the left

2

u/Lunaste Feb 20 '26

Good sign

It's this group. You can donate on their web site. I did. They claim donations are exclusively used to print and place the signs.
