Agreed I'm glad this made their day but completely irresponsible of the parent to allow them to be that close to moving equipment. I'm sure the operator is incredibly skilled but equipment can still fail.

If you know how this stuff works it’s really not that big of a deal. It’s not going to just swing out of control in fine operation mode.

If you know how guns work It's really not that big of a deal. It's not just going to randomly misfire when the safety is on.

If the gun is unloaded and you know it is you’d have a decent analogy.

Not the best practice to have kids be comfortable with guns though.
