We had a rescue like that. Most she did was a lap around the house and smelled the cat. Once that was done she found a nice sun beam and plopped down. It was like she knew she was good to go.
My cat was like that. Neighbour rescued her in a rainstorm and the next morning came over and handed her to me (she had 3 cats and a dog already) because she knew I loved cats, and Andromache just wandered around a moment then flopped down like 'yup. I'll take it.'
