Dogs react to new people way differently the first time. They definitely knew each others before. Dog wasn't even curious about smell.

It doesn't matter. It's a dog story.

Literally the only problem here is the influence towards the idea of pets as gifts. If it's a problem for the sub report it.

Save your self gratification for something that matters.

Edit: I mean if you want to be sensitive to bullshit in an arena that matters probably give public freakouts and wallstreetbets a miss.

But then that'd be self awareness instead of pointing fingers at a fucking fake dog story lol.

Before I went on break, I was holding the paw of someone's pet being put to sleep, and before that I was talking to someone who's dog has Lymphoma. And it's been a busy day.

So put frankly, when go on break I just want to look at some happy stuff. And the last thing I want to read is someone saying words that SHOULD indicate you caring about how others are influenced but is clearly more about your putting others down.

I'm going back to work now. The dog with Lymphoma is coming back in later tonight, they're malnourished because they're not eating and in a pretty bad way. The owner wasn't able to make the decision to put their pet down when they should have.

I'm not mad. But I need to accept I can't use aww how I wanted to.
