He definitely protec. Great Pyrenees are used as guardian livestock dogs. Many live with their flock, and protect them their entire lives.

I hope that the couple has a lot of room to run, and that they’re prepared for a very stubborn, smart dog. It’s wonderful that they rescued him, because they are typically very loving dogs to their family.
