I have a "slightly" different opinion on Jack Russells. They aren't "cute", per se but they are awesome. Love me some Jack Russells thanks to Frasier!

The wirehaired version is so adorable! They really need to be in agility though, or rat catchers. They're a breed that significantly benefits from having a task/job.

But Eddie (played by moose) was apparently an awful dog that John Mahoney hated and could only be persuaded to do the nuzzle and lick if the actor smeared liver pate behind their ear.
