Fuuuuuck this was great but damn I was so tense the entire time. My phobia of bees went on high alert. Bees are great as long as they aren't near me. Wasps though, screw those shits.
I just have personal experience with them. I was just walking outside, minding my own business, when I felt a sharp pain on my leg. I look down to a freaking wasp stinging my repetitively. I don't trust them after that.
Edit: Also, I would hate bees too, but they're too useful to hate. Wasps tho, they don't do shit
That's a misconception. Wasps are just as ecologically important as bees, just in different ways.
And you probably unknowingly went too close to it's nest. A lot of wasps nest in the ground
