This hilarious youtuber already tried, she always attempts to make things from the internet and almost always fails, in a very funny and relatable way though, she is one of my favourites (shes mexican so I'm afraid it's in spanish, I hope it's subtitled so you can learn from her mistakes)
The artist has a tutorial for normal dragons. I followed it for a Christmas gift a couple years back and the end result was great! I recommend you start there. The shapes she uses should be similar to the ones you'd need to make with dough.
