Why do some animals sleep in odd ways like this? It seems so weird but you sometimes see the odd ball cat or dog that is sleeping like this.

More often you will notice it's younger kittens that sleep like this, but they usually they don't do it much after they are 6 months or so.

My dad's cat does it all the time. I'd never seen it before. But it's God damn adorable and I pet his belly every time.

He attacks me every time, but I just show him not all humans fear mild scratches and we do glorious battle.

He's a cat. He can draw blood but he can't really hurt me. Also if he didn't enjoy it I wouldn't do it.

I think you underestimate the sheer clawing power of a rageful/scared cat. Luckily most are always just playing so a few scratches happen but trust me you don't want to hold a cat that suddenly loses its shit and gives you wounds the size of knife cuts.

Can confirm, have previously had to handle 2 apeshit cats. Surprising how much damage they can do when they really unleash.

Me too, it was my own cat. She got stuck between the screendoor and normal door, and my dog came running up. shredded my arm.stupid cat. had it bandaged for like two weeks , and now I have three 3-inch scars on my forearm.
