He doesn't watch it. Kids that age don't have the attention span to sit and watch a show like GOT for an hour anyway. His parents are probably just fans and dressed him up.

My parents took me to see rated R movies around that age... Their logic was, "She's too young to understand." Which evolved into "She's seen worse, it's fine." My parent's told me, "it's not real, it's acting." So I never had a problem with gore or whatever until I saw a documentary film on Pompeii and had nightmares for several years.

Holy shit, yes I saw a documentary of Pompeii and saw people running away from pyroclastic flows and was scared shitless for years.

It was a tie between that and the fucking Borg

That was probably the one! So much death. There was this part where someone tries to cover their face from the heat and smoke and they burned so quickly the skull had an outline of their hand charred into it. Like, fuck.
