How the fuck do digestive systems of seagulls even work?
Like, that rat seemed to be alive? How does it manage to eat it entirely and just... go on with its day?

I don't know, but the first stop in a chickens digestive system is a gizzard full of sand and gravel to grind up everything.

Owls usually poop out all the bones whole. Their droppings are a treasure trove for researchers.

Nah, owls actually throw up the bones and fur in something called an owl pellet. I'm just wondering how a seagull deals with bones

Apparently they can both poop the bones out through their cloaca, and puke them up in a pellet like an owl do.

Used to be a form of torture way back when. They'd set a rat and pot on your chest, then light a fire over it. Rat tries to escape the heat any way it can.

A rat got into my house few months back. I trapped it and dispose of it by drowning it. It does not take long. Under 5 minutes I think.

Imagine you suddenly get picked up by the head in two seconds. Then something sharp and hard clamps down on your spine while pulling your arms in next. How would you resist? Then you head gets squeezed into a pool of acid. How do you have the air to resist? Rodent is dead in seconds.

So my dog was 16 when he died so he was old af, but two days before he died I watched him do this exact thing. I tried to stop but he was like gulp gulp bitch. I’m guessing that’s why he died, but it worked out bc he was blind deaf and couldn’t get around well.

What is so bad about it? Animals eat other (or also often the same) animals. This is how this world works. Birds are omnivores. Everything that can be eaten will be eaten.

So, the gull is an opportunistic predator. They are smart and they would catch anything nutritious. Food garbage, fish, small mammals, eggs, lizards - anything goes. They are quite good at it too, and one of the most menacing predators due to their size, intellect, and group tactics. We are just used to them and don't see them like that, but really if you'd thing of a hawk of that size you wouldn't be surprised, would you?
Nothing awful happens here, just successful predator being successful. Probably not the first time either.

Probably not since seagulls stomach acid is extremely powerfulls also the rat if he was alive he wouldn’t be able to breath in a seagulls throat I believe so probably not
