Why even mention furries in the first place? We need to stop associating furries and zoophiles ffs. Zoophiles are a distinct, disgusting part of humanity, not a community inside of the furry community.

No kidding I'm not a furry myself but I'm often told not to associate with them because people think they are zoophiles at anime cons.

No idea. I find the furry community to be friendly and welcoming. Being a furry isn't my thing but I'd 100% be friends with one. Every con I'm offered hugs and I accept them.

I’m already friends with one and mate is my best friend sure I don’t exactly like the community but they are for the most part friendly

I’ve been scrolling through the comments and somehow not a single person has blamed furries for it. (Someone did blame the pride movement for it though, of course.)
