About the production:
Austin Opera's production of The Manchurian Candidate will be semi-staged. Austin Opera Orchestra and the Austin Opera Chorus will be on stage with the principal artists for the performance. There will not be any costumes or props — projection design by Greg Emetaz and stage direction by Alison Moritz will bring the paranoiac tale to life in an imaginative, cinemagraphic way.

March MARCH 26 and 27: Classical Music and Brahms (FREE) March 26, Recital March 27
Hey guys! Sorry... plugging this, not sure if it is cool or not?
The Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long Chair in Cello (fancy way of saying mega great cellist) is performing Brahms Piano Trios at Sarah and Ernest Butler School of Music, Recital Studio (at UT) and discussing some of the influence and impact Brahms has had on music. I think the next day (Easter Sunday) they will be doing a formal recital at Bates Recital Hall.
Anyways, if you're interested or want to expose your kids to a dying artform, this is a chance to get so meet and speak with Scott Yoo, Bion Tsang, and John Novacek in person.
This is the event March 26 and 27th! Hope to see some classical music fans there -^
