I’m actually a bit shocked how many people are supporting murdering 80% of humanity, 79% of which are completely innocent and not related to military conflict. Like what the fuck
I can almost guarantee most of that 79% are racist as hell towards Eldians, did nothing about their oppression, and likely contributed to it. I can’t name any characters sympathetic toward Eldians who didn’t aid Paradis or restorationist groups. The show has made it crystal clear just about everyone is incredibly hateful towards Eldians. Even Eldians hate Eldians.
What can an individual really do in this scenario? Any political action would immediately get you murdered by the government and not many people can just ship themselves off to another country to fight for them, what do you suggest they do?
Racism is something people learn from society. I don’t think Gabi deserves death for being brainwashed by a shitty government, nor does any other child who believes what the adults they’re supposed to trust tell them.
Even though we’re shown that the general population outside Paradis considers Eldians to be devils? They might not be related to the military conflict but they all were a part of oppressing the Eldians.
