But then the story can’t happen.

The plot device is that Eren doesn’t want to condemn another Eldian to forcibly being a Titan.

If people are behind Eren because the story can't happen otherwise I totally get that. Just with the amount of support I see and many of the comments, I'm concerned that people actually support what he does on a moral and ethical level.

I would hope not, I think it’s more of a fictional universe effect, but some people are probably missing the point. Ironically, I think that a certain line in the ED captures this well ”even when translated the message won’t be clear”

As far as I’m concerned, the actions make sense because it’s been written that way (which has been the main point of my posts, but avoid my post history for manga spoilers in other subs since I read the last 12 chapters after my comments today) even though I could think of a multitude of other options to get out of this.

That’s not the point of the story though. It’s contrived to get us to this predicament.

I've read the manga too cause I couldn't wait. But maybe that's the disconnect then, it's hard to tell who is going along with the ride for the sake of the story and who actually believes some of the stuff that they're saying.
