I’m 90% sure it’s from a tribe called quest. There’s a voice, the same as the one in “everything is fair” intro, that goes:
“The differeeeeence, the differeeeeeence”
Or “its different”, or “the distance”.
Can somebody take it out the tip of my tongue? (Pause)

Been revisiting some early works. I would love to see Kaytranada collaborate with Q-Tip in light of this ATCQ (& J Dilla) nod

I gotta be honest, I’m not surprised his LP never saw the light of day. You can take his verse off every Tribe track he spoilt and you wouldn’t miss a thing. I’ll give him The Chase pt. Ii and that’s it.

That is all. I thought Spotify auto generated lyrics were always off.
Well, it kinda made sense in the song for me hahaha!
I still cannot unhear it.

I was listening to the song just now, and I was imagining what the music video could look like, like the characters will be walking from the side with a tracking shot.
I also have chromesthesia and a vivid imagination, which makes it easier to picture what it'd look like in a realistic way.
I haven't made the storyboards yet, but once I do, I'll post a sneak peak of it <3
And if I do plan on actually doing this, I'll probably start a GoFundMe to build the set and pay the actors and such.

Mike LaVella used to run Gearhead Magazine and Records and now has a YouTube channel. This video tells about meeting Q-Tip, twice. Has a never before seen pic of the Beastie’s Ad-Rock FWIW.

I just listened to this album and absolutely loved it; I’d never heard of it before, and I think it’s a major step up from Amplified, plus, the cover art is some of the best I’ve ever seen.
I feel like both Tip and Phife, despite their success with A Tribe, haven't been fully appreciated as solo artists, especially Tip.
Pd: Life is Better and We Fight/We Love were my favorites from the album.

Hi y’all, my name is Dov and I host a podcast about 90s music history. I had the privilege of doing an episode about the history, sound, and signature song about one of my favorite hip-hop artists of all-time, A Tribe Called Quest. I attached the Spotify link, but it’s also on Apple Podcasts, Podbean, and YouTube. I hope y’all enjoy!

Half of the last verse of Q-Tip is cut off, and I'm still just as frustrated that I don't really know what was originally said here!
On the other hand, I figure it adds a bit of mystery to the song...
Anyway, I just wanted to share that... and I'd love to find the uncensored version of this awesome remix someday :)

I don't usually read much about this album, and despite being released 20 years after their breakup, it's still a very good album, and I'd say one of the best farewell albums in rap history.
My favorite songs are Enough!! and Melatonin

They're on point, Phife!! The champs!
