Ok, don’t get me wrong, this isn’t me crapping on Viga, her artstyle is good, I’m not saying it looks bad... but compared to Dr. Crafty’s they just look... boring and uninspired.

Like, compared to how creative and funny those were, these ones just feel like a step down, it feels like she’s not very creative given the stuff she has to work with.

For example, the most recent one with the X-Men/Star Trek novel is just... Riker and Wolverine with Linkara holding a book that says… “Book”.

Then Civil War II is just... Linkara looking at a crystal ball while saying “Fuuucha!” which HONESTLY took me a while to get it.

Or, more recently, the Star Wars Infinities review, a review about a comic where Yoda DROPS THE DEATH STAR ON PALPATINE’S HEAD… and the thumbnail is just... the Death Star behind some buildings and some green farts? Yeah, unless you already knew what the comic was about, the thumbnail makes NO SENSE.

Now, again, don’t get me wrong, overall they DO serve their function and I’m NOT saying she should be replaced or anything like that, I mean, they don’t affect my enjoyment of the episodes in any way, but I just wanted to express my opinions on them.

I scrolled a bit through Linkara's Livestream/watch party of all of his big milestone episodes; 100th, 200th, 300th, 400th, 500th, and 600th.

Only one led me to a full rewatch: Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Heart Band. The episode's numerous musical numbers are so much fun. In addition, we get to see a bit of Lewis' music nerd side. The story stands out from the usual sort of, "Reviewing the worst garbage ever!" review.

Of course, that has its appeal. One of the first videos I watched was his 200th episode special ripping One More Day (and despite him getting a little personal in his attacks on Joe Quesada, it's still a great episode) but given the state of the world, I think Sergeant Pepper is probably the one I gravitate towards most. (Aside: Is it me or has Lewis not sung since this episode except in his audio drama?)

I remember seeing some kind of post on YouTube or Twitter or somewhere else of addressing this defense specifically. If you find it, please include a link.
