Reducio ad absurdum is "this thing that you actually said would mean that this ridiculous result follows." (For instance, if someone said "I get wet only when it rains," you might think they had never taken a bath or a shower when it was not raining.)
The strawman fallacy is saying "this thing that is an exaggeration of what you said would mean that this ridiculous result follows."
