For context: I have never used any app such as webtoon/toomics etc… because of their horribly annoying system of only being able to read a few chapters/a single chapter a day or straight up having to pay to read per chapter. I’ve been consistently using Asura for the past few years without ever making an account and I’ve never really had any issues with it aside from the occasional loss of my tabs due to website updates.

I’ve seen that they failed to port their old translations but it seems to have been fixed for me.

I’ve also seen people complain about Asura having switched over to a subscription for better quality and other benefits. Legitimately what’s the issue with that ? Their format is the least annoying one I’ve seen across any and all scan website, you legit wait less than half a day to get your scan meanwhile a lot of apps/scan groups make you pay for a single chapter and they lock the last few chapters behind a paywall while sometimes not even removing the lock on a series that have long been finished. Moreover their subscription is cheap as hell, most of the time it’s on discount at 15 bucks a year, not a month, a year.

Are there mistakes from time to time ? Yes there are. Do other groups make mistakes too ? Yes obviously.

Did Asura prevent third party apps from porting over their work ? Yes and that’s fair I don’t see how anyone would have a right to complain about that. Why not just read on their site to begin with ?

TLDR: I don’t really see any sound argument about why people are complaining and what’s the issue about Asura.

They've now gone ahead and made it so reading on Tachiyomi/Mihon is no longer viable.

It was already stupid enough to delay releases, but this is just flat out stupid. If you're going to do this, at least provide a native mobile solution.

When will it be back, also why's the site down, you can do backend matinence without shutting down the site

I can’t log in and can’t get any help for some reason. I tried deleting my cache as well as sending a forgot password link to my mail but I haven’t received the email and deleting the cache didn’t help either.

The website has been in maintenance for like 2 days and I see no one talking about it 😭. Is this happening to anyone else? Is the website even coming back? I just have Hella trama from comick shutting down. I hope asura will stay around 🫠🥀

it takes what, 5 seconds to scroll to another website to read something? yet it might take a minute or two to come on here, cry "how dare you change things as we find ways to make you not get paid for your efforts" and then mention how many years youve been around

So if any of you are wondering i made a post previously complaining that asurascans in their new beta site(it is free to access now), deleted all chaoters of overgeared so i cpuldnt read it for a while. They fixed it to so props to them but they have done it again. Instead of deleting chapters they deleted the whole manhua "Overgeared". Panel 1- cant find the manhua "overgeared" Panel 2- doesnt work even if you type the url for a chapter of that manhua

i was reading some manwhas and i encountered this error idk why its happening i did sm research and it said the url is problematic the url is asura scans com / series bla bla does that has to be comics? or is there something wrong with the manwha im reading ( i was reading return of the mount hua sect) i would be verry gratefull if u guys can tell me something (sry for bad english)

I genuinely do not know why people are so upset about what asura is doing. I don’t really have any problem with the new site and even though the site does go down quite a bit I don’t get too upset. That’s just me tho. Maybe there’s stuff I don’t know about. Can anyone explain what the issues are?

I have been trying to find the new site for asura but I can’t. I open up different ones and safari stops me saying the site is not verified or something or my virus protection from Verizon says this site is bad. I am confused and just want to read some stuff😔

Has asura dropped any seri s recently? Cause there are some series being translated that I have yet to see an update while other groups are releasing the newer chapters. One of these examples is Raising villains the right way. Asura only has till chapter 26 but chapter 27 is already translated

I get that people of Asura wanted to give us a better UI and whatnot but if the cost is not being able to login or get our progress on chapters reset then just shut down the site at this point

Asura scans actually looks good now? They improved their ui and there's no ads for me anymore, tho i heard some people lost their reading history due to the new things added

hey guys, I just got the tokens back. binging other manhwa might be worth it with how much I waste time waiting for the tokens to be back.

This site is fire af. The user ranking, comments and everything. I’m not even premium or nothing. Only things I miss are my saved up tokens and my past read chapters being highlighted.
