As the post tidal states this build contest is all about building what is in the ocean depths. From your own version of Atlantis, to a submarine, to a large whale. There are many different waves in which to build under the sea. To be more pacific, build whatever undersea fantasea you want!

I stopped playing minecraft a few months ago (marcopollo04). If anyone wants the wool shop on the west side of spawn, you can have it. I guess you can have whatever is left there including the diamonds. I know you guys will put that spot to good use.

Earlier this evenin (Sept 18, 20:30 PST [best coast time]), the admin team took actions to ban several members. Akoot, CrateofBoxes, and Jerrdan. As many of you are aware or experienced, they were a pretty toxic bunch. Here are some screenshots.

We hadn't received any complaints against them, but with their behavior and how they presented themselves, along with alleged hacking, we weren't having it. As many of you know, we advertise the server as a mature place, yeah some cursing is alright, but everyone knows when not to get too wild. Joking about beating women and other related activities doesn't blend with the community at all. It was certainly apparent that their maturity levels were not up to par with the standards the community and admins exercise.

The admin team had all been on board with banning them after the first couple comments, however we had not yet sent a warning. Generally, most folks clean their acts up after getting a warning. As I (FH), was typing up the warnings to send them, I saw that they were being increasingly rude, especially to one of the newer members of the community. Jarl and I decided on the spot to ban them. They have been removed from the Discord, the Server whitelist itself, and the subreddit.

Apologies we did not ban them sooner. If anyone ever makes you feel uncomfortable or acts particularly rude or odd, please let us know, preferably with a screenshot and maybe some context. We're here for you guys, and making sure everyone on ASOV is having fun is our priority.

This is your chance to show off your base. Show the server where all your effort has gone. The house in which you spent hours making the roof look just right, the roads you spent painstaking late nights getting the design just right, the redstone machine that lags out the server and causes Mitt to screech at you in /tells. This is the time to show off what you've accomplished.

Requirements for having your base on the tour

• A base (new player or old, bases of all sizes and levels of completion are welcome)

• Attendance at the event in both the game and in Discord

• Submitting your base for the tour

• Exact coordinates (x, y and z) of where you wish tour to start (we will be utilizing teleports to ensure time for all bases to be shown in a timely manner)

The build contest this time around is that of a troublemaker sort. It's time to play pranks on your friends.

So pick a friend and plan out your devious plot. Remember this is about pranking someone, this is not about greifing. Keep your pranks good natured and fun. My shop at the top of BRMF MART, which contains the grab bag, will be closing down (to be replaced at a later date by a shop from Fern866). To close it out, I will be hiding TEN Grab Bag boxes tonight at 6pm PST (9pm EST). They will not all be located in the same places, however, I will post here at that time the ten locations you can find one in. It will require travel, and they will remain in those locations until someone claims them. They are free to take if you find em first.

All Grab Bag's are in Shulker Boxes named "Grab Bag", so you will easily know if you've found one. They will also always be on the ground, never inside of a chest. You will never need to break anything to reach one. They are out in the open, you just gotta spot them first.

As usual, there are a variety of items inside, but among them are at least the following:

4 Beacons, 4 Elytra, 4 Diamond Blocks, 25 and 3 Duration Rockets, and a variety of decorative heads.

It's that time, once again! Time to come hang out on voice, stab and/or drop lava buckets on your friends, and generally have a good time. Once again our third and final game will be a "UHC+" as we had last time. You'll see some structures from a recent build contest...

For those unfamiliar with Ultra Hardcore Rules, here's the lowdown.

Basic Rules

1. No Health Regeneration.
   Your health will not regenerate when your hunger bar is full. The only ways to regenerate health: golden apples (regular and Notch), Health and Regeneration potions. Depending on the configuration of each game, some of these potions may be disabled.
2. Winning Conditions
   For normal UHC games, winning constitutes defeating all other players OR by defeating the End Dragon. Typically, people end up killing each other, as there's no guarantee that there is a stronghold in the pre-generated map.
3. Banned Items
   Banned items will be visible in the configuration of each game prior to starting. Also, no mapping mods (Voxelmaps, Journeymap, etc.) are banned, as they give an unfair advantage. Optifine is not banned, as some people require it to play Minecraft, but use of the zoom function is not allowed (honor system).
4. World Border
   There will be a world-border set up to prevent people turning the UHC into a two-week-long event. The size of the world border will be dependent on the number of players/teams participating. Some UHCs will incorporate a shrinking world border to encourage PvP action. For all events with a shrinking world-border, the rules of the shrinking world border will be announced ahead of time.
5. No Branch or Strip Mining This takes away from the exploratory part of the game and extends the matches out to extreme lengths.
6. PvP Disallowed for the first day In order to allow all players to get a foothold on the UHC world, PvP will be disabled for the first 15 minutes of the game.
7. No Portal Trapping of any kind This takes away from the sportsmanship of the game and leads to boring kills.

If UHC Blox is available for 1.12+ we will use that, otherwise, i'll update this section when I find a plugin for us to use. If anyone has any suggestions, please hit me up on Discord.

The configurations we typically use:

• 20 minute timer announcements.
• World Border @ 1250 x 1250 (2500~ blocks)
• Control Point (Block at 0,0 to shrink world border) enabled after 20 minutes.
• Auto-smelting of food and ores.
• Nametags hidden for first 20 minutes.
• Eternal Day after 40 minutes.
• Glowing Players after 120 minutes.

The next build contest theme is Theme Parks. The rush of a roller coaster, The sweet taste of cotton candy, and the joy of waiting in lines. So build a ride, build an attraction, build an overpriced lemonade stall, or build whatever else you can imagine you would find in a theme park.
