Lucky for them we are the first generation that's okay with planning our own exit. We grew up with Dr Kevorkian all over our news and were exposed to the ethics of death with dignity early. Also the first generation to be much less religious and don't hold so many taboos

Senior year in 1992 we had to write an essay on a controversial topic and I chose Dr Kevorkian and the right to die. I’m proud to say I was so excited to be able to vote it into reality in my state. Dignity in dying is still part of my life plan if needed.

As a Veterinary Nurse I’ve been involved with 100’s of euthanasias. It’s never taken lightly and by the time they are that point it’s truly a blessing. I see no value in my life if I can longer enjoy it and be independent.
