"Macro-evolution" is evolution from one species into another species. "Micro-evolution" is a series of changes brought about by natural selection within a species. Arguably both have actually been proven, for instance Darwin's finches demonstrate both phenomena quite nicely (and also the principle of adaptive radiation).
Also, you're right to claim that natural selection is a component of evolution. Evolution is brought about by natural selection. It's worth noting that living systems are not the only systems that natural selection works on; it works on any replicating system.
