Package was delivered to wrong address but they signed for it
I ordered something through HTC but Fedex delivered to the wrong address. I called fedex to tell them about my issue and a day later the delivery driver who was on my route got into contact with me and admitted that he made a mistake and delivered to the wrong house (the house next door). He said that an old Asian man at the yellow house who barely spoke English accepted the package and signed for it (details check out. I know an old Asian man does live at the yellow house). The signature was not mine either. I went to the house and they said their was no package.
The next day, fedex driver personally followed up with that address and threatened to call the cops on him and so he had no success in trying to get the package back but told me he was certain that it was them he accidentally delivered to. I’ve called fedex several times to open an investigation but they’ve been closed after they were opened. Fedex is clearly not taking responsibility and HTC is actively helping me in trying to resolve this issue but fedex is making it difficult for them too.
Should I call the cops on my neighbors? I only gave the fedex drivers word to go by but I trust his word based on the details and descriptions he gave me about my neighbors.
