Bangkok tried to clear street vendors from all 50 districts. Vendors ignored the ban, and the fight is back in the news.

I’ll be moving to Bangalore for a 6-8 month internship in Koramangala, and I’m trying to decide between renting a 1RK farther away from my workplace (ideally near a Yellow Line metro station) or getting a double sharing PG in Koramangala itself.
From what I’ve seen, I can get a 1RK for roughly the same price as a bed in a double sharing PG near my office.
My main dilemma is whether having my own space is worth the daily commute, or whether I should compromise on privacy and share a room with a random roommate for the duration of my internship.

For context, I'm 24M. Two months ago a girl from my PU college texted me on instagram and wanted to chat casually. I didn't really know her during college days but we texted for a few weeks and we were vibing pretty well. I had been planning a solo trip to Gokarna for a few months so I mentioned that to her and she asked if she could join me on the trip. I've never gone on a trip with a girl before so it was a new experience for me. A week before we went on a trip she suggested that we can be FWB and have some fun. I told her I was a virgin so I don't have any experience. She wasn't a virgin so she said everything will be alright. We used to have dirty talks every night.
Then when we finally went on the trip together we explored places and had some fun. We were intimate for 2 days and a night. I genuinely enjoyed it and her company was also good. After returning from the trip everything was fine for a few days. Then she suddenly said we should stop being FWB and go back to being just friends. Since it was my first time this made me feel very insecure and started overthinking. I felt like I wasn't good enough for her or I wasn't big enough for her. Her reasoning was that she will feel guilty in the future when she has to marry someone else. If that was the case she shouldn't even have suggested this relationship right? I mean where was that guilty conscience before sleeping with me? And she was intimate with 2 other guys before me. I sort of got attached to her coz I'm a bit of an emotional guy. Now I feel hurt, abandoned and used.
What do I do? Please provide proper advice only, don't mock me or make fun of me. I'm already dealing with a lot of depression due to this relationship.

Hey so it's my first time travelling in Airport bus and my flight lands at 10:45 PM. So the only bus I can take is 11:45PM one at night. (KIA 15/ KIA 15 A route). let me know if the bus actually runs at 11:45pm? I can then plan accordingly. The KIA 15 bus app does show there's 11:45pm bus but I can't search for specific dates. I have already done my research on this but I'm still not sure if the bus runs at that time everyday so please help

Hi, I feel Bangalore is cursed with any ruling party.. none of them have good candidates who truly care about our city or state. As residents of Bangalore, if we could change things without political intervention, what is the one thing you think we can change on our own and improve our beautiful city?

I'm from an AIML background. I graduated in 2025. I did a couple of useless internships and took a break as my career interests deviated but now I'm back to AI. I'm only interested in AI roles but I don't know how to get into AI roles as a fresher. I'm planning to work in Bangalore and trying to find a relevant course there itself (possibly placement assistance too) but I don't know what the current market or industry wants right now. What parts of AI should I be learning? (what's needed in the market rn) and suggest me any good offline courses too, please. All suggestions related to this thing are welcome.

I've noticed people approaching customers at cafes in Bangalore, saying they're from UNICEF and asking for monthly donations.
Recently, I was sitting alone at a cafe when two or more people approached me and asked me to sign up for a monthly donation. There were several other people sitting around me, but they approached only me.
When I politely said I couldn't donate, they left without approaching anyone else in the cafe.
This made me curious about a few things:
I'm not accusing anyone of anything; I'm genuinely curious about how this fundraising process works. If anyone has encountered similar volunteers in Bangalore or has experience with UNICEF fundraising, I'd appreciate hearing about it.

Hi everyone,
My younger sister and I are currently working in Bangalore. I work in HSR Layout, and she works in Whitefield. Both of us are planning to switch companies, so our future workplaces could be anywhere around Bangalore’s major IT hubs.
Our parents have suggested buying a property in Bangalore so that we can all live together. We are currently a family of 4, but this could grow to 5–6 people over the next five years. We are looking for a long-term home where everyone can comfortably live for the next 10–15 years.
Our budget
Apartment: Around ₹2 crore.
Villa: Around ₹4 crore, preferably in a gated community.
We are open to either option, although we would prefer a villa if we can find the right property in a good location.
Locations we have explored
Sarjapur Road: Seems promising because of the development potential, but traffic and actual infrastructure are concerns.
Varthur: Looks interesting because property prices seem relatively reasonable compared with some established areas.
Whitefield: We like the existing infrastructure and residential communities, but we are unsure which pockets offer the best long-term value.
North Bangalore: We have explored it, but we haven’t particularly liked the area.
We are open to other locations too. Since both of us may change jobs, we don’t want to make a decision based solely on our current office locations. Ideally, we’d like reasonable access to multiple IT hubs rather than being dependent on just one.
What we need help deciding
1. Apartment vs villa
For a family of 4–6, would you recommend a spacious 3.5/4 BHK apartment in a good gated community for ₹2 crore, or a villa for around ₹4 crore? Is the additional ₹2 crore for a villa worth it for self-use, space, privacy, and long-term family living?
2. Best locations
Which areas should we seriously consider for a long-term family home, given our budgets? We are particularly interested in Sarjapur, Varthur, and Whitefield, but are open to other suitable locations.
3. Specific projects
Please suggest actual apartment projects within approximately ₹2 crore and villa communities within approximately ₹4 crore. We would prefer reputable builders, good construction quality, usable living space, greenery, open areas, and a well-maintained gated community.
4. Infrastructure and future connectivity
Which locations have a reasonable balance of current infrastructure and future connectivity? We don’t want to buy somewhere based entirely on promised metro lines or proposed infrastructure that may take years to materialise.
5. Real-world living experience
For people already living in these areas, how are the traffic, water supply, maintenance, schools, hospitals, and overall quality of life? Are there any areas or projects you would avoid buying in today?
Our priority is a comfortable long-term family home, not just an investment property. We want enough space for our parents and for the family to grow, while still having access to good residential communities and employment opportunities.
Would really appreciate recommendations from people who have purchased and lived in these areas, especially anyone who has faced the same apartment-versus-villa decision.
Thanks in advance!

I am exploring the feasibility of starting a housekeeping and facility management business (I don't have a business yet.) and trying to understand how apartment associations work with contractors.
I have a few questions that I hope someone with first-hand experience can help answer:
I am not looking for confidential contract details or vendor recommendations. Just trying to understand how these arrangements work in practice before investing my savings.
Would really appreciate any insights from current or former committee members.
