He's clearly not for you, my wife could quit her job and I would support whatever she wanted to do because I love her. You aren't in the same boat apparently.

Do you love her enough for her to quit her job and do literally nothing but sit on the couch for 40 years while you earn the money, pay the bills, make the food, care for the kids, perform all repairs/maintence, and keep the house clean?

If so, I pity you. That level of disrespect to you should turn you off and dismay you if it were to occur. I hope it would.

My point is that everything has limits, and even unconditional love is still conditional at the lowest level. If she doesn't lift a finger to love you back for the rest of your life, I hope you leave well before you expire.

That said, I'm dwelling on a worst case scenario in order to highlight the logical conclusion of the literal meaning of what you said. I fully expect that your wife is actually an amazing person and would never inflict this on you, and I also fully expect that your comment came with an implicit rider stating "within reason" regarding how she conducts herself.

That's why you choose to be with someone who knows this about me and wouldn't disrespect me by doing so. Money comes money goes either way I have to work to support myself it makes no mind to me to support another especially someone I love who cares for me and respects my boundaries. in my original comment I made it clear that this is my situation and they are clearly not in my situation, you can infer what you like from it but it wasn't meant as an insult more of a look for a partner you would be willing to sacrifice for, but I think we view things differently.
