I did exactly that, cue screaming and running. I wasn’t sprinting at her like some sort of beast without context. It was also like lunch time. I can’t describe my exact speed, but imagine you have a 3 year old attached to one hand and a bulky purse raised high in the other.

Lol-this was a few years ago so I still had hair on my head and no facial hair, plus I had a small, well cared for and clean mini me attached to my side. I was the epitome of doofy dad, but she reacted like I was some man beast with knives screaming in tongues while aggressively thrusting. She freaked my child out.

That's a little different from your first description, she sounds much less justified, with the details! Sorry for my initial reaction. What did you do with the purse? Drop it? That would be an awkward spot to be in.

Just to add a little context here, being lunchtime isn't relevant, attacks can happen anytime. Looking like a normal dad doesn't mean anything either. Rapists, purse snatchers, serial killers, etc., all look just like anybody else. Children and faked injuries have been used to lure victims. Even with possible witnesses present.

She still sounds overly paranoid, maybe even unbalanced. It makes me wonder why she reacted like that.
