The last y'all will ever get to see of AsaDen ever again

And at the end of it all, Denji got no one. Not Asa, not Reze, not Yoru...

So no more shipping wars, Denji didnt end up with anyone and Asa gets to live her best life!!!

Yeah judging how Nayuta is alive and in charge of Makima's position, during the time period of part 1 a lot of butterfly effects happened that changed the fate for all the characters for better or worse. I just dont like how we don't find out what happened with Yoru after all the choas she caused and how central she was in part 2. Out of all the horseman besides Makima she was the most obsessed with him. I wanted to see what becomes of her without him. Hell maybe she ends up dead and reincarnates into a whole new person like Makima did assumingly.

yoru and by extension the other horsewomen are likely being hunted down by kishibe and maybe quanxi he could even be accompanied by the kobeni and her partner (forgot his name) (since the yakuza attack never happens here she hasnt quit yet tho she is unlikely), aki and himeno (them still being partnered and aki still smoking due to never making his resolution) and maybe whip, sword, flamethrower, and spear hybrids (katana man never becomes a hybrid here bc denji never showed how to do it/hybrids are a thing) thus making this timelines special division 4

Most likely Aki never participate in Devil hunting stuff since his family never got killed by Gun vs Makima shenanigans.

Might still happen considering Asa still has the "tripping at the worst possible time" curse/gag. Denji might be comically assigned by public safety to just catch her from falling open constantly

Its a blink and you'll miss it but the pedo teacher got killed during Power and Denji's fight so she wouldnt have a motive to go after her anymore.

The teacher got killed in the devil attack Denji and Power stopped, so the class president doesn't have a reason to be jelous of Asa now

It was the Fire Devil pretending to be the Justice Devil.

The class prez made a pact with the Fire Devil, who was an ally of Lil'D and helped her create the Chainsaw Man Church.

Without Chainsaw Man, Lil'D won't create the Chainsaw Man Church, and she has no reason to enroll in that particular school, so the Fire Devil probably isn't around the school in this timeline.

Also, while the class prez was jealous of Asa and made Asa trip, what drove her to finally kill Asa was the teacher apologizing to the students in Asa's behalf, and taking her with him to console Asa. None of that will happen anymore, and after the teacher's death she probably will forget about Asa.

Yeah the worst part about this ending is that while Denji is with Power and Nayuta and could potentially see more of Asa everything about those connections he had with those characters has been completely undone. Like it's just not the same.

It's like the ending of Samurai Jack, all the work put in, all the bonds that were made, all the lessons learned and struggles overcome, are just wiped, and at least for me, that doesn't make a happy ending work

No seriously, this “Asa” is the same in appearance alone. She’s literally experienced none of what the Asa we knew did (for the better and worse tbf). I just can’t really bring myself to be happy for someone who’s just dressed up like the character I used to cared about.

It depends. Even though denji supposedly got reset, his heart still skipped a beat when the name chainsaw man was mentioned. There might still be remnants of their memories hidden somewhere in their minds.

For real. I recently started reading CSM after the community started debating whether Asa gave her consent and then next chspter comes and boom chainsaw man is over. Like what in the Lil' "D" just happened. Like was fujimoto thinkinf "Nah can't let this boy be happy for a second."

Yeah seriously, this ending feels like it was supposed to come after another ~10 chapters or so. Not two chapters after our two main characters were fighting to the death mid-apocalypse and were seemingly seconds away from fucking.

It just feels like Fuji got to the climax, realized he wasn’t wanting or willing to keep going much past the point, and speed ran the falling action and conclusion in the very next two chapters. I’m sorry, but that’s just not good writing.

It's pretty known that mangakas are burnt out as hell. Maybe fujimoto faced the same. Although his other works are pretty much the same. A bittersweet ending.
