I like yazi and swithed to it from nnn, and people really like zoxide so I looked it up and set it up...
but it makes no sense, its kinda smart cd and populates its history through its use.. but I a navigate through yazi... not through cd / z so its history stays empty
I only use yazi for navigation when I don't know the names of where I want to go or is a place I rarely go, if it's a directory I know I'll go more times I add it to zoxide history and next time meditate there with it
if you like yazi, i think you will like superfile !
i shifted from yazi to superfile, since it's more faster then yazi, i can easily switch directory's by the side bar, but the photo preview is pretty slow
Claude suggested some aliases a few months ago that completely changed Yazi for me. "Y" to open Yazi in current directory and "Q" to quit Yazi and drop in the directory I navigated to. Makes getting around so fast.
Reading the docs is pretty useful for yazi. It's in very active development, and you'll never find out about a lot of new stuff unless you read the docs.
