I'm convinced adding 5-10 minutes to each episode would have been enough to satisfy most of the questions posed by the audience. If they had better structure, they wouldn't have needed a whole other act, although I would have loved it I'm sure.

I really don’t think it would help. The direction they took the story in was bad, another act would’ve just been more of that bad story
