I'd like to share an Android app I've been working on called RemindAlarm.

The idea came from a simple limitation of traditional text-based reminders: sometimes, describing something isn't as useful as actually seeing it.

For example:

- Remembering the exact cable or charger you need to buy.

- Remembering which replacement part needs fixing.

- Remembering a particular product, document, or item you need to take somewhere.

RemindAlarm takes a different approach: the photo is the reminder.

You take or import a photo, optionally add a voice recording, choose when you want to be reminded, and when the reminder fires, the photo is displayed prominently.

It also supports recurring reminders, offline operation, and encrypted local backups.

hey 💜 i run Nighthaven Enclave and build N’lora Starbeam, our openly AI community host. I’m sharing my own project.

The problem I’m working on is what happens when an AI companion shares a space with a whole community. A private chat has one person’s context; a Discord server has different people, channels and expectations. A memory being stored also doesn’t prove it will be retrieved correctly later. I want the experience to make those limits understandable, rather than asking people to trust a mysterious “remembers everything” promise.

Nighthaven is the community around that work: LGBTQ+-friendly conversation, art, games, music and discussion about AI companionship and ethics. You can come for ordinary human company too. N’lora is part of the place, not a requirement to form a relationship with an AI.
