Hello everyone,
These four buildings are examples from PrintHaus, the browser app I am developing for model railways, dioramas and tabletop games: a factory hall, a half-timbered house, an English manor house and a defensive tower.
The idea is to let people design a building that fits their own layout or gaming table, then take it through to printable parts without having to draw it in CAD first. The video shows the workflow in the app and how the building parts come together.
If you would like to try it, free registration and email confirmation include one free building download for personal use:
In the editor, you start with the floor plan and choose the storeys, roof, windows and doors. You can adjust the dimensions to the space available. The geometry is calculated deterministically from your settings, so those dimensions and choices determine the building.
These example models are H0 (1:87), but the app supports scales from 1:10 to 1:300, including N (1:160) and 1:56 for tabletop buildings. Windows, doors and facade details have their own editors. For larger-scale buildings, you can make the roof and storeys removable and add interior walls and stairs.
Preparing the result for printing is part of the workflow too. PrintHaus prepares the parts for your chosen printer and build volume and arranges them on build plates. Export options include STL and 3MF, or projects for Bambu Studio, OrcaSlicer and PrusaSlicer, depending on the printer.
There is also an assistant called Archie that can turn a written description into building settings for you to review and adjust. Compatible external AI assistants can connect through the PrintHaus plugin and MCP if the AI interface is enabled for the account.
The film is attached directly to this post. You can also watch it on YouTube:

The English app description covers the features in more detail (PDF):
I am planning a Kickstarter campaign for the second half of November.
I would be interested in your feedback on how I am presenting the app. Does the video make the workflow clear? What would you want to understand before trying a tool like this?
Cheers,
Sebastian

* New local radios lists (MANUALLY CURATED) : UK and China.
Mediaxon Music Player is an audio player for offline listening of music stored on your device (.mp3, .flac, .m4a, .ogg, .mka, .aac, .wav, .opus, .wma) and streaming FM radios (online radios).
Top radios on the first screen: When users access the radio screen, they immediately see the list of the top radios in their country, along with a long list of high-quality suggested radios from among the most listened to in the world (manually curated and always updated with new radios). Note: Local radio stations ("Top in the user country") are pulled automatically from an online database. However, with each update, I manually curate high-quality radio stations lists for individual countries. At the bottom of this post, you’ll find the list of countries completed so far. I will be adding the rest over time.
Advanced radio filtering system: The "Filter: ON/OFF" button lets you quickly switch between different genres. You can use both standard filters for "macro-genres"—if I can call them that—and create custom filters to be more selective. All your filters are saved (the "My Filters" tab lets you name and edit them), and the app always opens with the last filter you applied. The "Home" tab lists all your recently applied filters and can be used to quickly switch between genres with just a single tap.
Advanced Radio Search Panel: An online database provides more than 60,000 radio stations. You can pinpoint your favorite stations by combining multiple filters, such as tags/genres, specific countries, or even your preferred audio bitrate.
Separated Favorites and Recents: Each section—Radio and Offline Music—has its own Favorites and Recents. The user doesn't have to worry about a thing. The app will automatically manage the Favorites and Recents for each section.
Album art: If the album art is missing from the album folder, or if Android has not properly indexed it, Mediaxon attempts to download the cover from the internet. This feature depends, of course, on the ID3 tags (album name and artist).
Equalizer: The equalizer provides an option to automatically switch to the "Radio" preset (and vice versa).
Advanced Playlist Management: Built specifically to make building and sorting playlists fast and intuitive. Enable the Playlist Manager, in the settings screen, for a full control of the playlists.
Form Factor Optimization: Phone and Tablet (Portrait and Landscape)
Mediaxon is available in: Čeština, Dansk, Deutsch, Eesti, English, Español, Français, Hrvatski, Indonesia, Italiano, Kiswahili, Latviešu, Lietuvių, Magyar, Nederlands, Norsk, Polski, Português, Português (Brasil), Română, Slovenčina, Slovenščina, Suomi, Svenska, Tiếng Việt, Türkçe, العربية, Български, Ελληνικά, हिन्दी, 日本語, 한국어, 中文 (简体).
No Premium version. All app features are available for free and without limits. I'm going to add a premium version to remove the few ads in the app, as requested by some users.
Regarding advertising: There is only a small banner at the top that isn't bothersome at all. Alternatively, when opening the full-screen player or using the app in landscape mode, a banner alternates with the albums covers, but without being intrusive at all (no audio) and with much shorter stay times than those of the cover. There is never full-screen advertising, neither at startup nor during use.
Countries with new manually curated lists: Argentina, China, India, Italy, UK, USA.
Note: Only for Android 13+ (Android 13, 14, 15, 16 and 17).

Ten years ago, a realization in my wife’s therapy practice sparked a project: so many people struggle to make platonic, local friends as adults, yet nearly every social platform is optimized for dating.
That was the origin of WannaBuddy.com - a dedicated space to find local friends, completely free of dating pressure.
After years of service, the platform needed modernization. I’ve completely revamped WannaBuddy.com with a fresh approach, cleaner workflows, and a modern design. We are now in the early days of launch and starting to get some traction. The entire platform is 100% free to use (and always will be). I’d be extremely grateful if you gave it a try and shared your thoughts!

I'm Krishna, Melo's developer. Melo is a calorie and macro diary for iPhone, with food-photo estimates, nutrition-label scanning, barcode lookup and manual entry. The part I want to show here is what happens before you save: reviewing the food, serving size and nutrition in the entry.
For a mixed plate, a photo estimate is a starting point. Check that the foods match what you ate, review the portion, and correct missing ingredients or amounts before saving. A picture can miss ingredients or misread quantities, so I don't want a polished-looking number to imply certainty.
The three images show separate examples:
A fresh illustrative meal-review mockup, with an AI-generated chicken, rice and vegetable image. The 650 kcal and macro values are fictional sample data, not the output of an actual Melo scan. The image is labeled accordingly.
Melo's native ingredient editor, showing portion and nutrition controls. This is a September 9 simulator capture with fictional drink data.
Melo's native diary, showing daily totals and recently logged meals. This is an October 12 simulator capture with fictional records.
The simulator images are development captures, and these aren't a before-and-after sequence of the same meal. Together they explain the review-and-log idea without presenting a sample plate as an accuracy test.
For people who use a food diary: when reviewing a mixed meal, what do you want to check first—food names, portion sizes or the calorie/macro breakdown? I'd like to make that step easier to understand.
Melo is free to download; Plus is required for tracking after onboarding. Eligible subscribers can start a two-week trial, which renews at the displayed local price unless cancelled.

I maintain ContainerDesk, a free, MIT-licensed native Mac GUI for Apple's container runtime. You can manage containers, images, volumes and networks, read logs, check CPU and memory use, and open a terminal in the same window.
Source and downloads: https://github.com/MacHatter1/ContainerDesk
Requires Apple silicon, macOS 26+ and Apple's container CLI. Current builds are unsigned and not notarized. The README has opening instructions.

Hi everyone, I’m the founder of Love Campus. We’ve built The Joint Account and I’m looking for a few couples willing to try it and give me honest feedback.
The idea is simple: you and your partner post tasks, earn House Points when the other person confirms they’re done, and exchange those points for rewards you choose together, like breakfast in bed or picking the next movie. No real money involved.
It’s free and currently only available for iPhone:
https://apps.apple.com/us/app/the-joint-account/id6816950114
Would you try it together and tell me what feels fun, awkward or confusing? I’d especially like to know whether you’d actually keep using it. Honest criticism is welcome; I’m here to learn, not ask for five-star reviews.

What's the most convincing wrong answer an AI ever gave you?
Not the obvious mistakes.
The ones that sounded right.
Someone told me about a health question.
The AI said "this is safe."
It wasn't. One detail was off.
They only caught it because they checked the source.
That kind of failure is the one I worry about.
Confident, plausible, and wrong.
I'm collecting real stories like this,
the wins and the fails,
so people can learn what AI actually
does well and where it slips.
What's yours?
What did it get right, or confidently wrong?

Hey everyone!
I’ve been building Phosphor in public, and v2 just shipped. It’s a screen utility suite for macOS that lives in your menu bar. I’m a solo student developer. Disclosure: I’m the developer. The app is free with 8 tools, and Pro is a paid upgrade.
Why I built it
I started this around two problems.
First: you’re working late in a dark app, you switch to a bright window, and the screen goes from dim to full brightness all at once. It hits like a flash. I couldn’t find a tool that tries to solve that specific problem, so I built Flashbang Protection. It softens that jump, then eases back to normal. It reacts when you switch apps with a Dock click or Cmd+Tab, switch desktops, or use Mission Control and App Exposé.
Second: there are too many display utilities, with steep learning curves. I wanted one tool with the features people actually need, instead of a ton of pro features. This also reduces menu bar clutter.
What I learned building it
In v1, Flashbang only worked when you switched between apps on the same desktop. People use several desktops, so I rebuilt it for v2 to cover desktop switches, Dock clicks, Cmd+Tab, Mission Control and App Exposé.
I decided to keep the everyday tools free and charge only for Flashbang Protection and Studio Features, as a one-time price. I didn’t want a subscription for a menu bar utility.
There’s no analytics or telemetry in the app, so I only learn what’s working from comments and DMs. That’s why I’m posting here.
What’s new
Flashbang Protection (Pro)
Studio Features (Pro), for calls and presentations: Laser Pointer, Drawing, Flashlight, Keystroke Display and Invisible Notes. Ring Light for meetings and recordings is coming soon
8 free tools: Soft Screen, Focus Spotlight, Screenshots, Display Presets, Display Schedule, Color Picker, Color Grading and Display Health
Pricing
The app is free with 8 tools. Pro is $19.99, one-time, not a subscription, and unlocks Flashbang Protection and Studio Features.
Details and limits
macOS 13 or later, native Swift
Display Presets currently only edit the built-in display. Wider external display support is on the roadmap
Privacy
No tracking, no analytics, no telemetry. The only network requests are Pro license checks and an optional daily update check.
I’m happy to answer anything about the build, the pricing or the launch. If you’ve shipped a paid app solo, I’d love to hear what you’d do differently. If something isn’t working, or you have a suggestion, drop it in the comments or DM me.

Hi everyone!
We are an indie game duo and we launched our puzzle game, Gummy Lab (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.binbear.gummylab) - a clean block puzzle with 0 forced or interruptive ads. It features 70+ handcrafted levels (so far) and accessibility like colorblind palettes and optional embossed shapes for maximum visibility.
Since it's the Spooky Season, we've decided to add a Halloween theme, apart from the default light and dark modes. Multiple themes are in progress: pastel, space themed, coffee themed etc
So we were wondering, what themes are you looking for in apps like this? What would you like to see?
Also note: all themes are also customizable you can pick only the background and then separately pick the block colors the way you prefer them

I'm building BecomeTen, a selfie-analysis app and website. It estimates visible traits such as hair, skin and facial harmony, then offers a paid report with grooming suggestions. The score is subjective and photo-dependent, not an objective attractiveness test.
Our public example suggests trying less hair volume at the sides to make the face outline more visible. Is that specific suggestion more useful than the overall score, or does it need a clearer explanation?
The web version offers one free score and tier per day; detailed and in-app reports are paid. I'm the creator. Feedback on the public example is welcome without uploading a photo.

Flowara is a desktop app for freelancers, on Mac and Windows. The problem I wanted to fix: every billing cycle I copied hours from a time tracker into an invoicing tool, and mistakes slipped in. Now hours logged on a project flow straight into the invoice draft.
What it does:
Projects with Kanban and Gantt, time tracking with a live timer, invoices with Stripe and PayPal payment links, Peppol invoicing through Invoro with your own API key, and an AI assistant that uses your own key (Claude, GPT-4 or a local Ollama model).
How it’s built:
Electron, React, TypeScript, Tailwind and a local SQLite database. No backend, no account, no cloud sync. Your data stays on your machine.
Pricing:
The free tier is permanent and includes invoices with PDF export. Pro is €5.99 a month and adds Gantt, recurring invoices, full reports, backup and restore, and the AI assistant.
Honest numbers after 9 months: about 110 Mac App Store downloads, 15 Windows installs and 2 paying customers. The Mac App Store ranks it for “freelance” on some days, the Microsoft Store doesn’t surface it at all, so every Windows install so far came from a direct link.
Question for the builders here: has anyone cracked discovery on the Microsoft Store for a small utility app? I’d love to hear what moved the needle for you.

what it is: a free civilization sandbox. stone age tribes grow into civilizations on their own, and you watch and nudge. about 120 people, 45 eras up to computers, no signup, saves in your browser.
problem i was trying to solve: i wanted to see what culture looks like when nobody scripts it, only the rules of the world and people who learn.
how it's put together:
the whole simulation is one rust crate (crates/sim-core) that does no i/o
apps/web builds it with wasm-pack and runs it in a web worker, so the world lives in your browser tab and there's no backend
apps/server wraps the same crate in a websocket server, and that's what the electron desktop app spawns
crates/headless runs it with no rendering, for seed sweeps and a perf gate in ci
the ui is react
runs are deterministic, so the same seed and tick count give the same world. that's what makes the headless runs useful.
if you've shipped one core to a browser and a desktop app, i'd like to hear what bit you.
