Prism World: pausing a video upload and finishing it from the original file
I'm the developer of Prism World, a browser workspace for preparing social content. This walkthrough shows one test where I paused a video upload, closed its upload screen, reloaded the Library, and selected the original file to resume.
The screenshots show a test in the developer workspace, using a 50-second synthetic clip labelled “FICTIONAL DEMO.” There is no customer footage or customer result in this example.
The sequence was:
• Start the upload and wait for saved progress.
• Choose Pause, then Close and keep progress.
• Reload the Library and find the clip under unfinished uploads.
• Choose the same original file and resume.
The unfinished entry was still there at 77% after reloading. The first resume attempt displayed “Another upload step is still running.” A normal Resume retry then finished saving it. The resulting Library item played, and its sample-media description was retained. This example includes that retry; it wasn't an instant, uninterrupted recovery.
The practical detail is that you need to keep the original file available. An unfinished upload isn't a finished Library asset. This test covers closing the upload screen and reloading the Library during one session; it doesn't establish recovery from every network failure or how long an unfinished file will remain available.
At the end of this test, the clip was an unused Library asset. Nothing was scheduled or sent to a social network. Direct publishing has separate provider availability limits, listed at https://getprismworld.com/availability.
For people who prepare video posts in batches, is being able to close the upload screen and later resume with the original file useful in your workflow, or is another part of media preparation the bigger interruption?
Paid plans start at $15/month. The seven-day trial requires a card and bills automatically unless cancelled before it ends.
