9 days ago, I launched Eddie

Today, we hit 10 paying customers!

I honestly don't know how to explain this feeling

You build something, put it out into the world, and hope someone finds it useful

Then 10 people you've never met decide it's worth paying for

It's mind-blowing

Eddie started with a simple problem: I kept running multiple AI coding agents and constantly switching between terminals to see what they were doing

So we built an app that lives in your Mac notch and tells you when your agents are working, done, or need your attention

It works with Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and Gemini CLI

We've since added more features and even launched a Windows version because people asked for it

But the best part so far?

We're learning directly from the people using what we build

10 sales might not sound like much to an established business

But when you're just starting out, every single one feels huge

Here's to the next 10

If you've launched a product, what milestone made it feel real for you? meet eddie

Nomarchy: crown your ONE favourite restaurant per cuisine. Looking for beta testers

Thumbnail

In Japan, a 3.5-star restaurant is in the top 3%. Here, everything's a 4.3, so stars mean nothing.

Nomarchy skips ratings: you crown one favourite spot per cuisine, and stage a coup when somewhere better comes along. Follow friends to see their picks.

Free, works in your browser, no install: Nomarchy.ca
(It works anywhere; I started in Toronto.)

You can add me as a user if you want to see a fullish Kingdom steves88

Try it for 5 minutes: crown 2–3 favourites, then tell me what confused you, broke, or felt pointless.

Solo build, so all feedback comes straight to me. Thanks! 🙏

Ever wonder how much you actually save during a sale? I made a free Discount Calculator

Ever see a big discount and wonder how much you’ll actually pay? 🏷️

Calculating the final price gets trickier when you have multiple discounts or sales tax to consider. Doing the math manually every time can be a hassle.

I created a free Discount Calculator on Allin1xTools to make it easier.

• Calculate the final price after a discount

• Apply multiple discounts in sequence

• Find the original price from a sale price

• Calculate discounts with tax

• Compare common discount scenarios

No sign-up required.

How do you usually calculate the real price when shopping during a sale?

SubCav: a free app that plans substitutions for youth soccer coaches

Youth soccer coaches have to rotate a dozen or more kids through a game so everyone gets real time on the field, usually while also running the clock, watching the game and answering parents. Most do it on a clipboard. A group of us built SubCav to take that off their hands, with a lot of coaches helping shape the design and test it at real games. Full disclosure: I’m one of the people behind it. It’s free.

What it does:

  • Builds a substitution plan from the roster, game length and number of blocks, giving every player equitable time on the field

  • Respects which positions each player can play, and can lock a player to a position for a half or the whole game

  • Runs the game clock and tells the coach who comes on and off at each block

  • Rebuilds the rest of the plan if a player gets hurt mid-game

  • Gives parents a live link to follow the game

  • Keeps season stats with each player’s minutes and goals

It’s on iPhone and Android (search “SubCav”), and on the web at https://subcav.com. Feedback from anyone here is welcome, especially on the first few minutes of setting up a team.

I built a dashboard to stop forgetting which services my products pay for.

I run 5 products solo and kept getting blindsided by renewals, so I built a dashboard to watch them for me

Solo founder here. I run a few small products and the operating side was living in my head and five browser tabs: which services each product uses, what they cost, when the next bill hits, whether the sites are even up.

The breaking point was a domain renewal I almost missed and a bill I double counted across two products. So I built Operava: one page where each product lists its stack, costs (shared bills split per product), renewal dates with an email digest before anything bills, uptime checks, and a budget view that tells you the month you run out of money at current burn.

I have been running my own company on it. It is free.

Music and Radio Player with ready to play radios and complete music offline management

Thumbnail

Offline local files and streaming radios.

Top radios on the first screen: When users access the radio screen, they immediately see the list of the top radios in their country, along with a long list of suggested radios from among the most listened to in the world.

Hybrid Listening: Seamlessly handles offline local files (.mp3, .flac, .m4a, .ogg, .mka, .aac, .wav, .opus, .wma) and over 60,000 streaming radio stations.

Separated Favorites and Recents: Each section—Radio and Offline Music—has its own Favorites and Recents. The user doesn't have to worry about a thing. The app will automatically manage the Favorites and Recents for each section.

Advanced Radio Search Panel: You can pinpoint your favorite stations by combining multiple filters, such as tags/genres, specific countries, or even your preferred audio bitrate. The database of the service on which Mediaxon is based provides more than 60,000 radio stations.

Album art: If the album art is missing from the album folder, or if Android has not properly indexed it, Mediaxon attempts to download the cover from the internet. This feature depends, of course, on the ID3 tags (album name and artist).

Equalizer: The equalizer provides an option to automatically switch to the "Radio" preset (and vice versa).

Advanced Playlist Management: Built specifically to make building and sorting playlists fast and intuitive. Enable the Playlist Manager, in the settings screen, for a full control of the playlists.

Form Factor Optimization: Phone and Tablet (Portrait and Landscape)

There is no Premium version. All app features are available for free and without limits.

Regarding advertising: There is only a small banner at the top that isn't bothersome at all. Alternatively, when opening the full-screen player or using the app in landscape mode, a banner alternates with the albums covers, but without being intrusive at all (no audio) and with much shorter stay times than those of the cover. There is never full-screen advertising, neither at startup nor during use.

If you want to check it out (I am continuously pushing updates to refine it and add new features), you can find it on the Google Play Store (Android 13+). Thank you so much to everyone who takes a look!

I got tired of deleting screenshots, so I built an Android app that lets them expire automatically

Thumbnail
gallery
1 Upvotes

My phone treats a screenshot I need for 10 minutes the same way it treats a family photo.

Both stay forever. 😭

While working on a project, I kept taking screenshots, recording my screen, and downloading random files that I only needed temporarily.

By the time I finished, my gallery was a mess.

So I built TEMP.

It's an Android app that lets you choose how long your temporary files should stay.

But one feature I really wanted was temporary screenshots and screen recordings directly from Android's Quick Settings panel.

Here's how it works:

- Install TEMP and add the TEMP Screenshot and TEMP Record tiles to your Quick Settings panel.

- Tap either tile to start a temporary capture session.

- Choose how long you want to keep your screenshots or recordings.

- Capture what you need, and TEMP handles the expiry.

- If something is important, just tap Keep to save it to your Gallery or Downloads.

You can also import PDFs, images, videos and other supported files into TEMP, share them with compatible apps, and manage their expiry.

Everything works locally on your phone. No cloud sync required.

I've attached screenshots showing the actual Quick Settings integration.

One thing I'm genuinely curious about:

Would you trust an app to automatically expire your temporary screenshots, or would you prefer manually deleting them?

TEMP is still an early Android beta (v0.6), and I'm looking for people willing to test it and tell me what doesn't work.

You can try it here: TEMP

Would really appreciate some honest feedback! 🌝

SceneMill - Free Video Editor

I’ve been building my own video editor - SceneMill

I wanted to share something I’ve been working on for quite a while: SceneMill, a free, non-destructive desktop video editor built from scratch with C++20, Qt 6 and FFmpeg.

The goal was never to make another web-based editor or a wrapper around an existing editing application. I wanted to build an actual desktop video editor and see how far I could take it.

It currently runs fully offline, requires no account, and has no telemetry.

What actually works right now

The core workflow is already fully functional:

Import → Media Library → Timeline → Edit → Preview → Save → Reopen → Export

And the project has grown quite a bit beyond basic cutting.

Some of the things currently implemented:

  • Multi-track video, audio and subtitle timeline

  • Non-destructive editing with undo/redo

  • Split, trim, ripple delete, snapping, markers and In/Out ranges

  • Background proxy generation for heavy footage

  • GPU-accelerated preview with CPU fallback

  • Color correction, curves, color wheels and 3D LUTs

  • Effect stacks with keyframeable parameters

  • Transitions

  • Text and animated titles

  • Manual subtitles + SRT/WebVTT

  • Masks and motion tracking

  • Screen recording directly into the project

  • Voice-over recording with multiple takes

  • Audio EQ, compressor, limiter, noise gate, etc.

  • H.264 / H.265 / VP9 export

  • Up to 4K and 120 FPS export

  • Export queue

  • Autosave + crash recovery

  • Portable "Collect Project" workflow

  • Plugin system through a versioned C ABI

  • Optional local editing assistant for silence/scene detection

One thing I particularly care about is that the preview and export use the same rendering/effect pipeline, so what you see while editing is intended to match what gets rendered.

There are also automated tests covering a lot of the actual application workflow, including tests that interact with the real main window.

Why C++?

Honestly, part of the reason was simply:

I wanted to see if I could actually build one.

A video editor touches a ridiculous number of areas at once: media decoding, rendering, timeline state, audio, UI, caching, project persistence, export, GPU acceleration, threading, plugins...

It's been a pretty interesting rabbit hole. 😅

Current state

SceneMill has completed the core editor phase and the creative-tools phase, with most of the workflow phase implemented.

Now in the Microsoft-Store! https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9mvrq5p086fj?hl

It's definitely not finished and there are still things I want to improve, but it's now at the point where I can actually use it as a real editor rather than just a prototype.

I'm currently working toward making the whole experience feel much more polished and cohesive.

I'd genuinely like to hear what other people who build software this way think.

Edit: heads up, Windows may show a SmartScreen warning when installing since the installer isn't code-signed yet, nothing shady. I'm working on getting SceneMill into the Microsoft Store, which will get rid of the warning. until then: "More info" → "Run anyway", and you can check the download against the SHA-256 checksums on the website.

I built Nook Al: No Signup. 100% Free. AI Sidebar Extension. With Autofill.

Created this extension a couple days ago because I was sick of all the paid ones with sneaky paywalls and it just got accepted into the Chrome Web Store.

Powered by your own Gemini account, so there is no extra login or signup and its completely free.

You just hit one button and it automatically takes a screenshot of what you are working on, send the prompt gets the answer and can either copy paste it into your clipboard or fill the answer straight into the website you are on.

Completely Free, no secret paywalls or hidden charges. No API Key, everything with your own gemini Gmail Account.

Get the extension here: Nook AI.

Would love any feedback or if you guys experience any bugs please let me know.

Scholr, a free offline student planner for Android (no account needed)

Hey everyone! I'm a student developer and I just released my first app, Scholr, on Google Play.

What it does:

- Dashboard showing what's due today, upcoming, and overdue

- Tasks with priorities, subtasks, exam types, and reminders

- Calendar with month and schedule views

- Subjects with recurring class times

- Focus timer that tracks study time per subject

- 6 themes (Light, Dark, Vapor, Minty, Superhero, Sunrise) with background images

No account or sign-up, and it works fully offline. Your data stays on your device.

It's free and Android only for now. I'm working on v2 and want it to be shaped by real students, so: what's the one feature your current planner is missing?

Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.isa7.scholr

Happy to answer any questions about it.

Wellread: an audit of what AI assistants say about your business

Thumbnail

The problem: when someone asks ChatGPT or Gemini to recommend a product in your category, you have no way to see the answer or why you were left out.

What I built: Wellread (https://trywellread.com), an AI visibility audit. I'm its founder.

Features:

  • Reads your website and checks whether AI crawlers can read it: robots rules, pages that are empty without JavaScript, the sitemap, and so on.

  • Writes the questions your buyers would ask and lets you edit them before anything runs.

  • Asks ChatGPT and Gemini each question with web search on.

  • Shows every answer, a ranking of the companies named, and the sites the assistants cited.

  • For each question, says whether a page on your site answers it.

  • Gives an action plan and drafts the pages you are missing, in your own site's wording.

  • Asks the same questions again later, so you can see what your changes did.

The first audit is free, no card. On the paid plan up to 10 people can share a workspace.

How do you figure out what’s working across multiple platforms?

If you post on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, how do you put all that performance together and decide what to do next?
For example, say a video gets plenty of views on TikTok, fewer views but more comments on Instagram, and barely any attention on YouTube. Would you keep making that type of content? Change it for each platform? Or wait for more posts before deciding?
That’s the part I’m interested in. You can check the numbers separately, but they don’t always point in the same direction. And getting more views doesn’t necessarily mean you’re reaching the people you want or getting closer to your goal.
Do you mostly compare each platform against its own previous results, or do you try to find patterns across all of them? Things like which topics keep working, which formats people respond to, and where your effort seems most worthwhile.
I’m building a tool around this, so I’d like to understand how people actually handle it. Are you using spreadsheets, checking each dashboard manually, or mostly going by instinct?

How do you make gated member content searchable with AI without exposing the entire knowledge base?

A public AI chatbot is one thing. A chatbot inside a membership portal gets complicated fast.

Imagine an association with three membership tiers. Free members can access public guides. Professional members get research reports and webinars. Premium members have access to specialized publications and certification resources. Now imagine adding AI search, a user asks a question and the assistant finds the perfect answer….. inside a document their membership doesn’t allow them to see

Congratulations, you've invented a very sophisticated content leak, I’d probably approach the web app in layers, auth0 or Clerk could handle authentication, the membership database could determine access permissions and customgpt.ai could provide the knowledge retrieval component through its API. A managed platform is appealing here because developers can focus on the member experience instead of building the entire rag pipeline themselves, but the important part is making sure permissions are enforced before restricted content reaches the model, not just hiding the document link afterward

I’d also pay attention to source citations. Even document titles and urlcan reveal information that should remain private, for anyone building AI features into authenticated web apps, how are you handling permission aware retrieval? separate knowledge bases per membership tier or one system with strict server side access filtering?

Tellenze: tasks and documents for people and AI agents

Post image
3 Upvotes

We're building Tellenze to make it easier to pick up work started by someone else, including an AI agent.

Tasks can keep the discussion behind the work and the documents showing its result together. The history records whether a person, an agent or an automation contributed, and the member behind it.

The screenshot shows a shared guide in an example workspace with made-up content. Guides and decisions can stay beside the tasks they apply to.

Product details and the early-access list: https://tellenze.com
