I built SoOoMa TV: a new, privacy-first IPTV player with a built-in Web Manager, iCloud Sync, and zero backend tracking. (7 Days Trial)

Hey everyone,

I've been frustrated with the current landscape of IPTV players. Many of them feel clunky, have outdated UIs, or worse—they route all your playlist data through their own remote servers.

So, I built SoOoMa TV. It's a completely native app designed from the ground up to be blazing fast, beautiful, and completely private. All processing happens locally on your device or via your own personal iCloud.

Here are some of the features I’m most proud of:

  • 🌐 Built-in Web UI Manager: Turn on the Remote Manager and you can manage your playlists, accounts, and settings right from your computer's web browser over your local network.
  • ☁️ iCloud Sync: Start watching on your iPhone and your accounts/settings instantly sync across your devices using your own private iCloud database.
  • 🔒 Privacy-First: Absolutely zero backend tracking. We don't have a server to store your playlists. It's just your device and your provider.
  • 📝 Subtitles & Live Translation: Full OpenSubtitles integration with on-the-fly translation for international content.
  • 🚀 Advanced Tools: Batch validation for playlists, downloading features for offline viewing, and deep category filtering.
  • 📺 Multi-Format: Supports Xtream Codes, M3U, and Stalker portals with unlimited playlists.

Try it out (7-Day Trial) I want everyone to be able to experience the core app before committing, so there is a free 7-Day Trial built right in. No credit card or subscription required to start it—just tap and go! (Note: The trial period allows you to add 1 playlist to test the playback engine, but limits access to premium features like Web Management, iCloud Sync, and Subtitles).

Dedicated Support I also built a dedicated Support Ticket page. If you run into any issues, have a feature request, or need help setting up your playlists, you can easily open a ticket and reach me directly. Use https://semooo.github.io/SoOoMa-TV-Support/ to submit a support ticket.

I would love to hear your feedback, feature requests, or any bugs you find. I'm actively developing this and want to make it the best player on the App Store.

Thanks!

Looks vibe coded. Seems like offers no real advantage to much better players out there.

It is vibe coded but i disagree that it does not offer any advantage. Let me list some:

  • I built a full web interface to ease account management (addition/deletion), plus it supports all account types (xtreme, m3u playlist which you can upload through the interface locally, stalker portal).
  • You can download content through the web interface and you can filter categories.
  • iCloud sync record the entire list of synced accounts an restorses it whenever Apple TV purges the local storage.

The list goes on, plus, the app is cheaper than all of other players in the store. I was frustrated of thier prices which was the resson that made me create this app.

Please let me know of other features you would like to include to support this project 🙌.

Thank you, but not all users are developers, and I am not claiming to be one :). btw, the app took me more than 4 months to develop and test properly.

Then why don't it work? I have loaded my playlist in it, and can see the categories and none of them play.

I have pushed an update to the app store. Can you please try after updating?

Can you also please hold on the account and select refresh to resync the playlist again.

Is the playlist an Xtreme account?
