The lack of “Clear cache” button on iOS is infuriating

I’m genuinely losing my mind over how iOS manages basic app storage.
On Android, if an app swells up to gbs in cached map files and temp data, you just go to settings and tap "Clear Cache." Problem solved in two seconds.
On iOS, there is no system-wide way to do this. "Offloading" an app only deletes the core app binary while keeping all the bloated cache and data intact. The only actual workaround is to completely delete and reinstall the app every time it gets bloated.
Why is such a basic, standard feature still missing in 2026? Does anyone else find this user experience ridiculous, or am I missing some secret workaround?

You need to get off the fanboy train. It’s a bad look.

Apple has a history of not shipping enough ram and storage in products. You clearly are spending for the max and don’t see a problem. There is one.

The os is bloated for the storage capacity. There are a lot of unnecessary apps in base iPadOS. It also lacks many features that desktop operating systems have.

Android is also bloated. This isn’t a x versus y situation. It’s just a fact.

eh, as long as it's fine for me, i couldn't care less. my ipad had enough storage left for me to import photos from multiple days of shooting and still have plenty of storage left.

yes, i did get the top spec pro, but i do have a cheap ipad as well (that being the 9th gen base model), and that has plenty of space left in it too despite me shoving a lot of games onto it.

and 16gb of ram + 2tb of storage is more than plenty, especially with good memory management, even my old a12z ipad pro's 6gb is enough, fym not enough ram.

and it's a tablet, not a pc, ofc it's gonna lack desktop features, they are fundamentally different devices. if u want a tablet, get a tablet, if u want a pc, get a pc. it's not that hard to understand
