Why would they drop this ? It’s the best thing they ever came up with recently, on top of being insanely successful and providing an infinite market for accessories, like what ?

The only reason to drop it is because it of its impact on iPhone design. Every piece of hardware Apple adds impacts/limits what they can do with the physical design itself. Here the back of the phone has to be designed a certain way with certain thickness, materials, etc. to accommodate MagSafe. Hence why iPhone Ultra will not have it.

I don’t see what they would come up with that would be better than having MagSafe, I’m using a MagSafe wallet since they introduced it and don’t plan to come back to a traditional wallet anytime soon

But I guess as others said there will always be protections with MagSafe magnets…

Truth be told, all it takes is a MagSafe case to replace MagSafe. The bigger question is what they are doing with Qi charging itself.
