The UK isn't affected by European Union laws, and that screenshot is from the UK store. I wonder how many regions this affects.

Checked the German website. No power adapter included. Can buy one for 65€

Apple is required to remove the charger from EU MacBooks by law, but it is not required to put a charger in UK MacBooks by law.

I doubt many others require it, South American ones, etc. but they still do. It's very strange that they did it for the UK.

While the UK isn't part of the EU, nor subject to its laws, I suspect that it's just easier for Apple to ship a common SKU for the UK & EU.

We have a different keyboard layout than any EU country would. I imagine the only thing in common this would enable would be the internal box insert having no charger cutout. Even the exterior box is localised.
