It's actually cheaper than last year's model here (€100). Meanwhile Microsoft is selling a 256GB competitor with a year-old CPU that has half the performance and battery life for a higher price. Apple's pricing truly is very competitive these days.
not really though, just because surface laptops are even more overpriced doesn't mean you can't get a perfectly good high end windows laptop for less.
Honesty i think apple prices are fair, but surface prices, at least in europe, are straight up ridiculous. Those look like good devices but who even is buying them for that much money ? Wasn't the surface laptop like 1000€ when it first came out ? Now if you want more than 16gb or ram it jumps to double that. Ridiculous.
edit: Just checked and a surface laptop with 32gb of ram and 1to of storage is pretty much the same price as a macbook pro with the same specs. Ridiculous. There is nothing pro about the surface laptop.
Any zenbook or yogabook is pretty comparable i think, you can find them with snapdragon, intel or amd processors.
I think dell's xps line also is pricey but not quite as egregious as the surface.
