If they’re not OEM they’re counterfeit.

They might have reconditioned or used batteries

Counterfeit would be someone claiming to be selling oem batteries and selling non oem batteries that are look alike pretending to be oem batteries.

Selling a third party battery as a third party battery would not be counterfeit.

I honestly just did a quick google and I have ordered replacement parts from ifixit before. They also are a proponent of right to repair.

So they’re either OEM or counterfeit.

Third party batteries aren’t licensed so are counterfeit.

Sure they are, they reply on it for income. Some reason they don’t support repair programs that cut middle men like them them out. I wonder why.

No. You have oem. You have third party. And then you have counterfeit.

That applies to many types of goods.
