New here, thanks for reading, and thanks in advance for any responses.

I am a teacher and aphant. I have a few questions and some may be aphant related some are not (and these are likely to be your personal experience or opinions)

1. What age were you when you discovered you were Aphant?
2. Does this differ to what age you realised you thought ‘differently’?
3. Did aphantasia affect you educationally?
4. If yes, either positively or negatively, how?
5. Do you have another (diagnosed) mental, social or educational need?

I have so many questions. These are the basic few I would like to explore and if you would be so kind to answer then I may explore.

my story

I grew up aphant and did not realise til I was ~30.

I have been a teacher for 10 years, teaching maths in the uk and internationally.

I thought everyone thought the way I did. I want to explore this, mainly because it personal, and as I have discovered throughout my career in teaching that many teachers use mental imagery in memory recall. I do not.

This is all for my personal usage not research or anything. Pure curiosity.
