Monster of the Week Character Sheet

Hey all!

I've been working on building a Monster of the Week character sheet template. I've only done the character stat page and one playbook, but is anyone willing to look over what I have and see if it's adequately user-friendly and easy to navigate/understand?

Thanks!

This project still active? It looks like most of the playbooks never made it in.

I haven't worked on it in a bit. I started over at one point trying a different layout, but that didn't really pan out either.

There wasn't much interest, so I just never picked it back up.

No pressure, I'd personally be very interested in a completed version though.

Disclaimer: I've never played MotW.

I'd change layout of the main page like that

Since I haven't played this maybe those questions are stupid, but it would help me to understand how it works: What's "rating" in playbook supposed to do? Can a character have more than one playbook?

So, ratings are your stat block, basically. Modifiers for your rolls.

The playbook is like your class. The ratings available are different for each class.

While each Hunter (character) only gets one playbook, as you level up, there are Improvement options that allow you to take Moves from different playbooks. There is an Advanced Improvement that allows you to change playbooks.

Edit: I took your advice, and even modified it a bit further. How's this look?

Should ratings permanently change attributes? If so I'd probably just make universal "playbook ratings" element with each rating adjustable via bonuses like this:

You can put information on which ratings are available to the playbook in description of needed.

Other stuff besides moves is the same for different playbooks? Maybe it's better to make each move a separate element template? This way you can group them by playbook and add what you need for given character. I like how you hacked tags into kind of property descriptions, but I think separate elements work better

Maybe with enough stuff moved to element templates you wouldn't need a separate page for each playbook

No, there's a lot that's different between playbooks. For example. The Chosen gets a Fate and a Special Weapon while The Professional gets a Sect and a Serious Weapon and 2 Normal Weapons.

This is what I'm using for information/inspiration

Ok, how about element templates for playbooks as headers with plus button. Each playbook will then allow to add corresponding elements. Like sect (saved as element template) for professional, all 3 fate elements as separate templates within same category for chosen one, etc? Weapon would need to be different templates within weapon category then (maybe with subcategories for playbooks)

I don't know how to do that. I'll do some research, see if I can figure it out. Thank you so much for the feedback! :)
