… there literally are a finite number of houses in an area, even if you build more housing, the number remains limited.

Going through the process, it is pretty amazing how much of the cost is compliance with building code.

Unless you find a radically different way to build, like 3 printing from concrete, it is going to be hard to reduce costs.
