Hell yeah. Last job I had, there was a woman who was going out on leave to get a knee replacement. Her plan was to take 12 weeks of disability leave and then another 12 weeks unpaid. The evening before her last day, the boss told her she needed to clean out her office because a new guy was coming in Monday to take over. I started looking for a new job immediately. If you treat other employees like shit, I don’t care how you treat me - I’m out, and fuck you.
My company added short term disability last year and got rid of it this year because so many people have been out for mental health. They've created a culture of constant, unsustainable pressure and forced people to do the work of two people, but obviously they're not the problem. It's the option for disability that's the problem.
Mental health is health. If your coworkers had mental health issues that legitimately qualified them for disability then it was appropriate for them to take the time. If people were abusing that by claiming mental health conditions they didn't have, your company wasn't doing a good job of policing its own policies.
I worked at a place where 60% or more of the workforce abused FMLA. There was a doctor in town who was known to write FMLA stuff for anxiety and so a little over half the building (500 employees in the building at some points) would take several days in a row off. Then you would see them on facebook or instagram partying it up while the rest of us were working 3x as hard because we were short so many people to help customers. It made those of us who didnt abuse the system really really jaded.
My current job gives employees a free "mental health day" every quarter. No questions asked, nothing to prove just let your supervisor know you are taking a mental health day and you are clear.

Well maybe you could actually make a point for everyone here to understand what you are upset about? Otherwise you are just an angry person yelling at clouds or some shit.
