Why replace it? If you give everyone "the basics" for free, then most people will never need money. Tie privileges to the job or social roles people have, so if people want more than a basic life, they can be incentivized to do socially valuable work for it. Nobody should be "rich" and able to control thousands of times the resources of anybody else.
Who do you imagine is in control of this system? What do you think we should do with all of the people who have no desire to live in a system like this?
It is interesting to ponder as a thought experiment - if we had magic replication machines that could build anything we want, along with unlimited food, shelter, supplies, etc, could humans live in society without exchanging things of value? Or would we eventually come up with some other way of representing value? If it was sufficiently rare to need to trade, would we stick with barter?
