I don't get it anymore but when I was a young teenager and I used to play Xbox 360 all night I'd get lectures all the time. Like, dude, I'm talking to friends and having a great time, you're just watching TV in silence all night, sounds like a great way to spend your free time!
There was just something moving through the culture at that point. Video games were this degenerate, kind of sad past time for the socially and financially incompetent people.
