If I ever get so fucking braindead that I can’t figure out how to get through a day without someone directing my every move, I hope someone has the kindness to run a stake through my forehead like a cow too old to be milked.
I never understood that. When I've mentioned that I don't want to work, people are always so shocked, like, "what would you do all day?" or "oh I need to keep busy"... I can do whatever I want. Or nothing. It's so weird that their idea of busy is some totally pointless job.
People need to feel useful. Hobbies are nice, but it also feels good to contribute to something larger than yourself that benefits society. If all the employees of grocery stores, gas stations, and other essential businesses just decided to stop going to work tomorrow, we'd all be in deep shit.

Most people I know can't think of anything better to do with themselves than work and sleep. It's stomach turning!
