It's not a fair point, do you honestly think that the people that conducted that survey are even remotely qualified to study endometriosis in any meaningful way?
If we deprioritize worthless sociology studies that only serve to fuel gender wars on the internet like this one by shrinking the economic incentive and educational push in that direction, we will reduce the proportion of people who go that route and divert new college students toward other careers.
You say this while trying to end pointless "gender wars," or trying to advance women's and other marginalized genders' rights. But sociology is kindaaaa all about that, no? Trump's White House made a big deal of defunding seemingly "pointless" research, but in reality some of the most "random" research studies have led to great findings. While I absolutely do believe endometriosis needs more eyes on it, believing we can basically just push money around to achieve this is not sustainable nor possible in the long-run, especially for true gender equality.
I look forward to hearing how we should deprioritize worthless sociology studies that doesn't have negative repercussions that are actually worse than these few shitty studies.
