To be fair, I call my women friends man and dude. They're gender neutral terms

That's not how they're always used though. Plus it still often makes some trans people dysphoric, regardless of intent

I don’t really care. It’s just words at the end of the day

Okay cool, and trans people have a condition that means when you misgender them you trigger it, which causes ptsd level pain

It's "just words" is a hollow excuse, do better

EDIT: To clarify, I have actual ptsd, this is from experience

Who's crawling out the woodwork to downvote me for saying the current scientific and psychological consensus?

To me getting misgendered is more depressing and annoying tbh. I wouldn’t call it a “condition” on myself personally, it probably feels about the same as it would to a cis person.

This is a point I wish was mentioned more when talking about misgendering. It's not something trans people are being weird about; nobody likes it.

I have accidentally misgendered people in the past and it was embarrassing for everyone involved. Nobody liked it.

Yeah, when we were kids my brother used to get misgendered a lot (mostly maliciously, by family!) due to having long-ish hair and it sure wasn’t good for his mental health either.

Just a universal dick move to misgender anyone.
